Although it’s certainly not quite the same as EvE, if you follow “WoW Twitter” at all that also appears to be a drama engine dressed up as an online game. Actually, now that I think about it, comparing the two communities would be an interesting blog post… >.>

To a certain extent I think that’s inherent to a lot of online communities. The need to have something to talk about plays a part, consciously or unconsciously perhaps.
